The dataset comprises new distribution records of marine organisms reported from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Northern Indian Ocean under the Marine Living Resource Programme (MLRP). Specimens were collected onboard Fishery and Oceanographic Research Vessel Sagar Sampada (FORVSS) during the cruises FORVSS261 (January 2009) and FORVSS292 (December 2011) in the winter monsoon season.
