OBIS Australia MeasurementOrFact Open in mapper Explore occurrences

A new species of Melinna (family Melinnidae) is described from the abyssal depths off the east coast of Australia. All material was collected during the RV Investigator voyage “Sampling the abyss” (IN2017_V03) in May–June 2017 from Bass Strait, Tasmania/Victoria using a beam trawl at 4197–4133 m depth. The data has been acquired on the following RV Investigator voyage(s) IN2017_V03 with links to additional metadata, datasets, events, deployments, publications etc. If this data has been used in any products, please acknowledge with the following: We acknowledge the use of the CSIRO Marine National Facility (https://ror.org/01mae9353) in undertaking this research.
