Crab specimens were collected by the RV Hakuhō Maru (KH-72-1 cruise from East and South east Asia in 1972. The specimens from the Sulu Sea and the Sibutu Passage are identified and recorded and comprise of 17 species from 14 genera in 9 families, including three new species. In the Timor Sea, 16 species of 14 genera in 10 families of the crabs were collected
