Presence of the genus Dictyopteris (Dictyotales, Phaeophyta) in the western Indian Ocean between 1985 and 1999

Data on the presence of the genus Dictyopteris at different locations (Kenya, Seychelles, Tanzania, Mauritius, Socotra, South Africa, Egypt) in the western Indian Ocean. The dataset is based on herbarium material collected during expeditions conducted in 1985-1999. The data were digitized by VLIZ from the original report: De Smet, I. (2000).
