Haploniscid isopods (Crustacea: Asellota) from this dataset were collected during the SokhoBio (2015) expedition on board RV Akademik M. A. Lavrentyev and the KuramBio II (2016) expedition on board of RV Sonne. Samples were taken from abyssal to hadal depths (3,210-9,584 m) by means of an epibenthic sledge (EBS), an Agassiz trawl (AGT) and a box corer (BC). All samples within the dataset stem from the Kuril-Kamchatka Trench, the Kuril Basin of the Sea of Okhotsk and the Bussol Strait that connects them, located in the Northwest Pacific Ocean.
