The Museum of Tropical Queensland, Townsville, is home to our internationally recognised collection of hard corals. The collection is a comprehensive coverage of Indo-Pacific Scleractinia, particularly from the Great Barrier Reef of Australia. The collection also includes: - the J.E.N. Veron collection, donated by the Australian Institute of Marine Science; - comparative material from Indonesia, Maldives, Seychelles, Papua New Guinea and many other tropical nations.
