This dataset is from a paper by Rubio F. & Rolán E. (2015) on the genus Lophocochlias Pilsbry, 1921 in the Indo-West Pacific. The authors studied the species of the genus Lophocochlias, family Tornidae, of the tropical Indo-Pacific, collected during the expeditions of the Tropical deep-sea Benthos, directed by IRD and MNHN, in Madagascar, Reunion Island, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, the Solomon Islands, the Philippine Islands, the Society Islands and Papua New Guinea. New data on geographical distribution and habitat of the species studied are provided, and their morphological variability is discussed.
