This digitized historical paper contains information about the floristical and faunistical survey of the coasts near Alexandria (Egypt) including lake Edku, lake Mareotis and Suez canal that was made by Adolf Steuer in summer and autumn of 1933. It contains specific information and description of the sampling protocol that was followed, for the collection of plankton and benthos. It is also contains detailed description of the habitats and the bionomic division at Alexandria and contains three charts that show the location of benthic and planktonic stations.
