GSRPMN12020 MarBiol UGent 2021

Sampling data captured in Oceanic Exploration Research For the reporting year 2020, GSR focused on following key aspects of exploration and development; • The offshore testing of the tracked pre‐prototype nodule collection vehicle called PATANIA II; • The continuation of our baseline study with further analyses of the 2017 biological samples; • The collection by the JPI‐O MiningImpact 2 consortium of samples and deep-sea data within the framework of the deep-sea mining test; • The elaboration and preparation of a new offshore campaign. Initially, it was planned for 2020, but COVID19 forced a delay to Spring 2021.
