This data set includes the results of 71 plankton samples off the southern and southwestern coast of Brazil from 3 oceanographic cruises - FINEP I, III and IV (respectively Nov/Dec 1975, May 1976 and Spt/Oct 1976). The Siphonophora (Cnidaria, Hydrozoa) from Cabo Frio, RJ (23 S) to Cabo de Santa Marta Grande, SC (29 S) were identified by L. Dias. A total of 33 siphonophore species were identified.
