Each land station was visited once a week, alternating between early morning (05:30 - 11:00) and afternoon (15:30 - 20:00) surveys, according to sunrise and sunset times. In total, surveys were conducted for 84 days (360 hours). Mediterranean monk seals were sighted on ten different days and individuals were followed for a total of 4.42 hours.
