Para los Golfos Nuevo y San José se han clasificado 42 especies de peces. Especies tales como el róbalo, cornalito, pejerrey panzón, pejerrey de tosca, pejerrey lagunero, pejerrey cola amarilla, Salmón de mar, saborín y caballa, sostienen la pesquería artesanal con anzuelo y con redes de cerco y agalleras.
