2022 Société Jersiaise, first sighting of Berghia coerulescens in the British Isles

The sea slug species Berghia coerulescens was found on the 8th August in Jersey (near the centre of a gully that runs through Les Ecrehous reef) along with an egg mass; the first of this species to be spotted in the British Isles. This was sighted and recorded by Nicolas Jouault of the Société Jersiaise and then the sighting has been confirmed by expert Bernard Picton.
