Colección de Platelmintos del Museo de Historia Natural Marina de Colombia - Makuriwa

El Museo de Historia Natural Marina de Colombia - MHNMC que hace parte del Instituto de Investigaciones Marinas y Costeras Invemar, custodia entre su material biológico la Colección de Platelmintos. Esta fue creada en el año 2002 a partir de los ejemplares obtenidos en el litoral rocoso durante el proyecto Platelmintos Santa Marta desarrollado por los investigadores Marcela Bolaños y Sigmer Quiroga. Como parte de ese material, el Museo custodia el holotipo y el paratipo de la especie Armatoplana colombiana Bolaños, Quiroga y Litvaitis, 2006. Actualmente la colección catalogada cuenta con 92 lotes del Caribe colombiano, obtenidos entre los 0 y 85 m de profundidad recolectados en diferentes ambientes de la plataforma continental, mayoritariamente de los dpartamentos de La Guajira y Magdalena. Este recurso presenta los registros biológicos correspondientes a todo el material catalogado que fue documentado a partir del proceso de curaduría y catalogación efectuado entre 2022 y 2023 durante el desarrollo del proyecto BID-CA2020-055-NAC. The Marine Natural History Museum of Colombia - MHNMC, which is part of the Marine and Coastal Research Institute Invemar, holds among its biological material the Collection of Flatworms. This was created in 2002 from specimens obtained from the rocky coastline during the Santa Marta Flatworms project developed by researchers Marcela Bolaños and Sigmer Quiroga. As part of this material, the Museum holds the holotype and paratype of the species Armatoplana colombiana Bolaños, Quiroga and Litvaitis, 2006. Currently, the catalogued collection has 92 lots from the Colombian Caribbean, obtained between 0 and 85 m depth, collected in different environments of the continental shelf, mostly from the departments of La Guajira and Magdalena. This resource presents the biological records corresponding to all the catalogued material that was documented from the curatorial and cataloguing process carried out between 2022 and 2023 during the development of the project BID-CA2020-055-NAC.
